Our sheds can be categorised as three main types: Apex, Pent and Solar. Apex and Pent reflect the roofing type - best explained by reference to the diagrams. Solar sheds feature a Pent roof with three glazed windows extending along the angled frontage. Examples of previously made Sheds can be found in the Sheds photo gallery.

At Harris Timber we use Ex75mm by 50mm (3" by 2") planed timber for the frames and 12mm (0.75") thick shiplap cladding for the walls. Pressure treated softwood ply is used for the flooring with black Onduline roofing. All our timber is pressure treated and does not require further treatment. Optional extras include opening windows, wider or double doors, different types of flooring, bearers or cladding. We could also use felting or red cedar shingles for the roofing.

Apex is Harris Timber's fastest selling range of sheds, featuring a traditional roof allows more internal height and additional roof storage space.

As with all Harris Timber products only quality materials are used in shed construction to ensure maximum value. We are also able to offer different sizes and specifications to the individual customers requirements.

Pent Sheds

Pent sheds are lower priced because of their simpler single pitched roof. This also allows the shed to be used in situations where there are height limitations in the garden.

Solar Sheds

Solar sheds represent a practical compromise between a shed and a greenhouse. This versatile shed features internal staging for plant propagation and has a Pent styled roof. Most Solar sheds feature three large glass panels allowing maximum light transmission; larger sheds may utilise more glass panes.
