Our gates can be made to the dimensions chosen by the customer - our prices listed below are primarily for guidance and not indicative of the sizes we can offer. Examples of previously made gates can be found in the Gates Photo Gallery.
At Harris Timber we use quality redwood timbers for our gates but we can also manufacture gates from hardwood such as Iroko. Our prices for hardwood would be approximately double those shown in the price tables below. Please note that VAT should be added to all prices listed. All ironmongery, fixtures and fittings are extra.
Framed & Morticed Gates -shaped top
Traditional gates utilise vertical timbers, one on the hanging side of the gate and the other at the closing side. These verticals are then morticed into and connected with cross members and bracing diagonals on larger gates. Our framed and morticed gates use carefully selected and graded timbers. While these gates are normally clad with boarding we are open to customers specific requests.

Framed & Morticed Gates -straight top
Details as above for the shaped top gates - but the less complex construction permits a reduction in price to the customer. Once again these framed and morticed gates use carefully selected and graded timbers and while these gates are normally clad with boarding we can customise to individual requirements.

Diamond Braced Gates
Diamond bracing is normally used for gates over 6' in width to provide extra strength. Gates of 6' and under would be cross braced - please phone on 01404 - 823366 if you require more pricing details.
